it could get to the point that she will defy you 2 times and then obey you on the 3rd time. Not good behavior.
She needs an immediate consequence for her actions to learn anything about that behavior. I would take away a privilege immediately the first time she defies you. That's how she will connect the act with the consequence. She's smart, she knows her boundaries and limits. She'll work around them!
This is a respect issue. You are her mother and you deserve that respect. Teaching her that she can defy you twice before a consequence isn't teaching her respect for authority. Where can that lead?
