We're all feeling better now, thank goodness! Thursday night I made dinner immediately after coming home from the grocery store. This is the first meal we've eaten together (or at least all the *same* foods) for quite a few days because we've been so busy. We (all except DD age 2) ate Broccoli Cheddar Rice a Roni with added fresh broccoli and Hilshire Farms Beef Kielbasa (all cooked in the same dish). All the ingredients came directly from the grocery store, and I washed the broccoli, (as well as my hands). We all had separate bottled drinks of different varieties.
Everyone except my 2 year old who had something else for dinner (which means 4 of the 5 of us) started vomiting and had diarrhea during the night. The earliest was about 6-7 hours after we'd eaten dinner. The "illness" lasted for about 12-18 hours, it varied a little per person and I am pretty sure I (we?) had a fever though I didn't bother getting the thermometer. Let me tell you, I was glad to have 3 toilets in the house! It knocked us all flat, and my mom had to come take care of us all, especially since I had a bright and chipper 2 year old running around in the middle of all of this.
I just can't figure out which ingredient was the culprit. And... should I let the store know?
