- To me, Mom and Dad are reserved for a very specific/special relationship....those who raised me. No matter how close I am to my in-laws, only my parents will I call Mom and Dad (I think it is great for those that call inlaws Mom and Dad...it just isn't for me)--nt - Margaret H 7:26 Jul 20
