While CED's advice would make perfect sense for *my* daughter, I've finally learned after many mis-judgements that other kids can be very different than my own. Maybe this is a really special child who can handle the multiple languages. Maybe whatever it is in that amazing brain that is receptive to languages is growing and responding to the stimulation from multiple languages. There ARE children out there, maybe not 4 yrs old, but children nonetheless, who speak more than three languages. They had to learn them somehow.
So I fall back on the old standard KPzz advice: watch your child's eyes. If they're shining on Spanish Day, shining on Greek Day, still shining on German Day and positively glowing on Latin Day, WOW, GO FOR IT! Just be able to agree to a "stop" if those shining eyes glaze over. Even if after just a week or two, for example, if kiddo says "nada" to more Spanish, bring those lessons to an end and back off to a mere three languages.
This could be the beginning of a really cool education. Why not give it a try? --KPzz
