We work from 9am-12pm. Lunch break is about 30 -40 minutes (much longer seems harder to get them back to work). Then we work to about 3.30pm when my oldest dd comes home from school. In the winter it doesn't seem as though they have much time for play, but it is more than PS students have, with homework & such.
Altogether, they still have nearly 4 hours to themselves to play.
Our Schedule for 6th grade looks like this:
9am Maths R&S6
9.40 Classical Writing - Aesop B
10.10 Music practice
10.50 Typing (Typing Instructor)and handwriting(zaner bloser)
11.20 Latin Prep
12. LUNCH
12.40 Science (Baltimore Curriculum Project)
1.30 History/Geography (BCP)
2.30 Humanities (music, art, literature - BCP)
3.00Fallacy detective (if we can fit it in)
