Oh, how I wish I'd never heard that evil (*wink*) Laura in China mention the words "Galore Park". I originally looked at their site in search of German language resources ~ the *one* thing I truly need that they don't have, btw. I emailed Nick and asked if something's in the works ~ "So You Really Want to Learn German", for example. No go. It seems studying German is not the popular thing to do.
Meanwhile, I've gone and spent ages perusing a slew of other books published by Galore Park and every single one of them sparks my interest. Every single flippin' one! If I were just starting out our homeschooling journey someone could convince me here and now to get GP materials for all kinds of subjects.
I like the look of Latin Prep ~ rigorous but not overwhelming. More stimulating than the Memoria Press materials we now use but not as heady as Henle or some such.
I'm excited about their Spanish offerings. I'd planned to hold off on Spanish for quite some time since we have a full foreign language plate, but I just may break down and get "So You Really Want to Learn Spanish" for myself.
I can certainly see why Laura's smitten with the English Prep books. Makes me want to chuck R&S English and all thoughts of Sonlight LA.
I *love* their science workbooks and am interested if anyone here has used these. If so, what ages were/are your children who used these? Are there any labs?
Good grief. I feel royally overwhelmed, alternately interested in pursuing some of these materials and just wishing I'd never seen any of it at all.
