I think TOG is probably the most "academic." One thing that I don't like about the Quest for the Middle Ages, is that there are no discussion questions. In Sonlight and TOG there are discussion questions on the books that are being read. There is also some background information, especially in TOG, that isn't there in WP. There are some nice features with WP. I like the added website and video suggestions, but I miss the more in depth curriculum of the other two. WP also makes notebooking just a part of what your are doing, which is nice. It is integrated. If you were looking for something more rigorous, I think it would require more of your time, to make WP rigorous, than it would with Sonlight or Tapestry of Grace. You would have to read the books yourself and be able to have good discussions, etc. I don't know if that is true for their older version, but I am looking at the 4/6 version. Anyway, that is my gut feeling after looking at all of them, but others might get a different feeling....LOL
