Your kids are little and you're just beginning Latin, right? Then I would just get the CD and songbook. Use the songbook to help you learn to sing along with the CDs with the correct lyrics...
Now, the argument for getting the TMs would be that they include the translations (of the lines and of each word), which *you* might find very useful even if you aren't specifically teaching the kiddos yet. I wouldn't bother with the student books until your kids are *well* into LC2 (or beyond, if they're young).
