Robinson Curriculum method and materials are great and do accomplish what they set out to do.
That said, if you want your 4th and 5th graders chanting Latin grammar forms and drilling on Latin roots, then, no, RC alone won't be a good fit. But Latin is an easy fix. You just add the Latin lesson to the daily task list.
The best way to learn about RC is to join the yahoogroup and read, read, read a lot of the information in the FILEs section of the yahoogroup. Also, the members on that yahoogroup are very friendly and helpful. If your friends a "hello I'm new, how does this work" type of post, it will generate a lot of helpful posts.
If a goal of the mother is to be actively teaching, grappling with math problems together with her students, and requiring memorized info in history and science, and giving tests and quizzes on those, then RC alone wouldn't suit that requirement.
Like TWTM, no one does RC exactly. So as usual .. .. it just depends on what her goals are and what goals she thinks the RC will help her students accomplish.
