Geography Suggestions for Co-Op

My husband has been asked to teach a geograpy class for our local co-op. We meet all day Fridays, and each class meets for 1 hour.

Any suggestions for curriculum to use for Geography, middle school and high school?

I think they are wanting him to focus on more of the culture/religion/history of different areas than on landforms/mapping!?
