how incredibly wise this is. My oldest is a smart guy and we bumped him from 7th to 9th and when he went to college at 17 he just crashed and burned. And at 17, when we sent him off, we knew in our hearts that it was a horrible mistake and that he needed another year.
But, sigh, there was a scholarship on the table and they would not allow him a growing up year. It was then or never.
I will never bump a kid up again.
