Hmm... trying to go through some math books with my 13 yr old and he told me MUS because it looked easier...

Quite honestly I think my ds is overwhelmed with the choices. We've sat side by side with Lial's BCM and MUS Pre-Alg. w/Key to Fractions for Measurements. He loves the key to books and thought MUS looked easier than Lials. I also wanted him to look at Chalkdust, but don't want him to not choose a program due to what it looks like.

How do you handle choosing curriculum with older students? I actually don't care which he chooses as both are acceptable to me, but it was the comment that threw me.
