[ High School and Self-Education Board ]

My oldest (8th) will be in 9th grade next year and I am trying to decide whether to continue using Rod and Staff grammar. He is currently using the grade 6 book along with his younger brother. (I'm afraid our grammar work was very light until last year when I started using R&S with my boys per WTM recommendations.) Last year I tried him in the 7th grade book (he was in 7th grade), but it was a bit confusing to him, so I put him in the 5th grade book with his brother. He did fine with that, and has continued to do fine in the 6th grade book this year. Now I am worried that if I let him continue on with the 7th grade book next year, I won't be able to give him an English credit on his transcript since it is technically not a high school text. Am I right on this? I don't think that I can jump him from the grade 6 book to the grade 9 book!
Should I go with something entirely different, and if so, is there a high school text that he can transition into after R&S 6? He is very bright, a great reader, and is finishing up Algebra II and Apologia Biology this year...it is just the grammar that he is behind in, and that is really my fault for neglecting it for so long. (sigh) Any suggestions to help fix my mistake?
Thanks!!!
