(the softcover book) and the old Saxon Algebra 1/2 (the hardcover). I had heard that the new 87 now includes pre-algebra. The reason I am asking is because my dd has just finished the new 76, she did great in it but she dislikes the new format (the softcover, the investigations, etc.) and has asked if for next year can she do the old hardback pre-algebra and just skip 87.
I know in the old versions it was okay to go from 76 to pre-algebra. Is that true with the new version 76? Dd really wants to skip 87. I am normally someone that does not want things skipped but she has done excellent this year with 76. So any opinions after all my rambling?
p.s. she will be 11 in Aug and math has always been her best subject.
