Re: the discussion a week or two ago about the book "Ready or Not, Here Life Comes!"--is there anything similar for TEENS to read re: careers, focus, etc.?

My oldest dd, who is 14 now, read "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" and loved it. The author (Steven Covey's son) was humorous and wrote towards the teenager.

Is there any really good resource available for a young teen to read that would help him/her start thinking about careers, transitioning from adolescence to adulthood, etc.? Perhaps one that might have sample "tests" that the kids could take that would help point out their aptitudes and abilities? I know there are tests that you can have a kid take administered by a psychologist, but I'm thinking about something more informal. (My girls love these test, BTW!)

I'm not looking for a book that would make her feel "pressured" at the ripe old age of 14, but something that would help her begin to think in these directions.

I know the book "What Color Is Your Parachute?" was used when I was in h.s., and I'm not sure if this is intended for older teens or younger ones, too.

Anyway, I've been reading "Ready Or Not, Here Life Comes!" and have enjoyed it, and my thanks goes to the gal who mentioned it here in the first place.

TIA for any advice! It is sometimes treacherous to navigate these waters from childhood to adolescence to adulthood!
