I'm sorry if I have the OP wrong, but she said that when she started wearing makeup as a teen, her mother said that if she could tell it was there, then "Colleen" had to go back and do more "blending". So she learned to apply makeup with a very natural look. This is what I'll likely do with my dds when they are older. I don't have a specific age in mind, though.
