Maybe something she encounters in an elective will spark an interest she didn't even know was there.
If that doesn't appeal, I'd look at what she does for fun and see if there is something there to spin off into more formal learning.
For what it's worth, I don't really like to "cook," either, but I do enjoy baking. They really are different. And, hey, if she gets good enough, she can hire help to do the clean up!
