I am contemplating purchasing Classmate for my 7th and 8th/9th graders. My 5th grade ds wants to go back to using MUS (I have him in R&S right now).
My dilemma is whether or not to just buy MUS for all (thereby reducing my need for purchasing other materials later since I have purchased every math program under the sun in the last 11 years), or to go ahead and let the older 2 work through the Classmate then sell it and just use the MUS with my son.
The girls did MUS for a year and have been doing Lial's BCM. I am curious as to how well MUS would "work" for them at this point (ie would they understand the methods, and/or would those methods actually benefit them since they are math-phobic).
Since I can't even try the Classmate (our dialup won't even load a sample), I just have no clue what I'm getting if I buy that, and whether or not they will like it, or, more importantly, be able to really understand it.
I'd appreciate any thoughts/input.
