I see few IEW fingerprints on the writing. If you go through IEW enough to get dress-ups and sentence openers that would give your dc some tools to work with.
In just two years of IEW work, your dc can make serious progress. The point is to keep them using the tools to build their structure and style.
Hang in there. I've been there with ds, too. He has made tremendous progress. Sigh, and still isn't where I need him to be. Writing simply takes time to grow.
