May not be what you'd like to hear but this is exactly why I got IEW. We are doing so much better with writing now. I know where to help.

Try researching some different types of sentence openers to teach them, one would be a prepositional opener.

I would work on one grammatical and one style this go paper and try to have them implement that next time.

btw, what I really would do is beg or borrow to get them into IEW so they can move toward writing some 5 paragraph papers
