I always start off by saying, "We are not there, yet!" However, we have done Chalkdust Pre-Algebra this year. As per Prof. Mosely, we do math for one hour per day. That's it. So, we start off by watching the applicable section on the DVD. I only have my ds do the odd problems. We continue working problems each day until the section is finished. If the section is short, say only 30 problems in total, then we do all of them. If the section is crazy long, say 150 problems (this is rare) then we do fewer than the odds. Some sections are longer than others. Over time, I have gotten pretty good at guessing how many days a section will take. I would say ON AVERAGE you would want to spend around 3 - 3.5 days per section. We then do all of the chapter review in one day, the chapter test in one day, and the cumulative review over two days. This has worked well for us for Pre-Algebra, and we will complete the text. But, as I previously stated, I don't know if this will translate for Algebra I. If it is a LOT of super-easy review, you might just start with the chapter review and test and work backwards, just working on sections that actually NEED review.
If you are unsure, just e-mail Prof. Mosely. He is a speedy responder.
